BOUCHERON GALA NIGHT OF HIGH JEWELRY

On 7th December 2011 - French artisan jeweller House of Boucheron, and partners MasterCard Worldwide and Qatar Airways hosted a gala dinner. The event was held at Starhill Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with watch exhibition “A Journey Through Time V”.
Dedicated to the theme “Time To Celebrate”, several collections of jewelry and timepieces were exclusively flown in from Paris. Collections modelled included Ava Scarf, Ava Noeud, Exquises Confidences, Beloved, Bagha, Cinna Pampilles, Céleste, Curiosité, Jasmine, Satine, Shéhérazade, Zarafah and Fatal Attraction.
In attendance were Arnaud Gestin, vice president of global sales from the House of Boucheron; Jim Cheah, vice president and senior country manager, Malaysia and Brunei for MasterCard Worldwide; and Ish Jalal, country manager for Malaysia and Brunei of Qatar Airways.
Other prominent figures included Tan Sri Francis Yeoh, group managing director of YTL Corporation; Chua Lam, a renowned movie producer from Hong Kong; former Spanish ambassador to Malaysia Jose Ramon Baranano and his wife Ana Garcia Baranano.
Datuk Yasmin Yusuff, former beauty queen and an enthusiast of high jewelry and haute horology craftsmanship, was the event’s master of ceremonies.
The night comprised music, lighting, performances, a fashion show and haute cuisine designed to enchant guests’ senses. Food was prepared by Master Chef Wai, Platinum award winner of the King of Kitchens in Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards. He meticulously crafted a full French course that reflected the high art on display.
Complementing the celebratory mood of the night, singer Shafinaz Selamat enthralled the audience with her soprano vocals. The event ended beautifully with her repertoire that included Poker Face, ‘O Sole Mio, I Believe, Queen Aria and Time to Say Goodbye.
